      Film Production

Experience in fiction, animation, modern and historical documentary, and abstract films, with work as director, screenwriter, animator, editor, assistant editor, prodcution designer, director of photography, camera operator, gaffer, grip, sound recordist, boom swinger, script superviser, and Foley artist, including:
  • February 2010 - Wrote the bible and pilot script for Dinosaurus Explorus, a show for 6-11 year-olds in development by Believe Animation in Green Bay.

  • October 2009 - Wrote the bible and a script for Smartsville, a show for 7-12 year-olds in development by Sharp Image in Karachi, Pakistan.

  • October 2009 - Consulted on the pilot for Nicky's Awesome Adventures, a show for 7-12 year-olds in development by Cardamon Assets in Dubai.

  • September 2009 - Consulted on the bible and pilot for The Milkshake Show, a preschool show in development by the Grammy nominated children's rock band Milkshake in Baltimore.

  • June 2009 - Wrote the bible and a script for Who's Watching Conrad?, a show for 7-12 year-olds in development by Believe Animation in Green Bay.

  • June 2009 - Consulted on the bible for Jalebi, a preschool show in development by Kushi Productions in Boston.

  • June 2009 - Wrote sample scripts of Angelina Ballerina, The Backyardigans, Charlie & Lola, Elmo's World, Peep and the Big Wide World, Phineas and Ferb, True Jackson VP, The Wonder Pets, and WordGirl.

  • May 2009 - Wrote the bible for The Salties, a preschool show in development by Francis Fitzpatrick, creator of Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks, in Dublin.

  • March 2009 - Had six premises for Handy Manny on Playhouse Disney accepted by the executive producer for possible development.

  • August 2008 - Assistant edited feature documentary Brighing Godzilla Down to Size. 

  • June 2007 - Assistant edited feature film Polycarp and the music video Calling on You.

  • November 2006 - Assistant edited children's musical Samuel the Lamanite and edited DVD bonus features. 

  • March 2006 - Shot, directed, and edited Wild City, an abstract documentary about urban wildlife in London. 

  • December 2002 - Wrote The Best Crop, a historical documentary that aired on regional PBS.

  • February 2006--January 2008 - Edited film material for multiple issues of Irreantum, the literary journal of the Association for Mormon Letters.

  • July 2007 - Co-edited a special film issue of BYU Studies 46:2 (Summer 2007), a peer-reviewed scholarly journal

      Honors
  • January 2007--April 2009 - Short film By Water, and Blood, and the Spirit screened at festivals in New York City, Utah, and Brussels.

  • September 2008 - Short film Wild City screened at the Matsalu International Nature Film Festival in Lihula, Estonia.

  • April 2008 - Ultimate Film Junkie Award, Tribeca Film Festival, for a thirty-second animation.

  • March 2008 - Special Award in Criticism, Association for Mormon Letters

      Skills
  • Experience with film and video production equipment and software including cameras, lights, rostrum cameras, sound equipment, Screenwriter, Photoshop, FCP, Avid, and Steenbeck table.

  • Mac and PC proficient, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Fluent in Spanish as a second language with oral and written translation experience.

  • Experience with music composition and performance, especially keyboards and woodwinds.
