Randy
enjoys writing fiction,
nonfiction, and poetry for children of all ages. He is a member of
the
SCBWI's New York
chapter.

particularly reluctant readers from bilingual households advancing
beyond the easy reader stage.

Film criticism samples
Since 2001 Randy has been at the forefront of the growing field of Mormon film studies,
having published or presented seventeen articles, edited numerous journals, and taught the
subject at Brigham Young University. In 2008 he won a special award in criticism from the
Association for Mormon Letters for editing a special issue of the academic journal BYU
Studies devoted entirely to Mormon film. Following are links to some of Randy's articles that
