Wild
City (2006)Randy has worked in a variety of positions on set and in postproduction, in fictional, documentary, and abstract pieces. He most recently assistant edited a documentary on the history and special effects of the Godzilla films. His screenwriting experience includes the historical documentary The Best Crop: A History of Orchard Farming in Orem, Utah, which aired on regional PBS, and he created a short animation that won the Ultimate Film Junkie award from the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008.
Randy writes with MovieMagic Screenwriter; he has worked with 35mm, 16mm, MiniDV, and HD cameras; he has recorded sound on DAT and a Nagra IV and V sound recorder; and he edits on FinalCut, Avid, and 16mm and 35mm film, having used both a flatbed Steenbeck and an upright PicSync.

2008 - Assistant edited Bringing
Godzilla Down to Size: The Art of Japanese Special Effects,
68 min., director Norman England. This Japanese-language film premiered
at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and is included on the Classic
Media DVD of Rodan
and War of the

2008 - Created and animated a thirty-second paper cut-out film that won
the Ultimate Film Junkie award from the Tribeca
Film Festival.

2007 - Assistant edited Polycarp,
85 min., director George Lekovic. This slasher horror film was the
opening night screening for the premiere Hoboken Film Festival in 2007.

2006 - Assistant edited Samuel
the Lamanite,
64 min., director Dennis Agle. For this live-action
musical Randy also edited sixty minutes of DVD
special features.

2006 - Shot, directed, and edited Wild
City, an abstract documentary about urban wildlife in
London, England, which was shown at the sixth Matsalu International Nature Film Festival at Lihula, Estonia.

2003-August 2005 - Attended the London Film School, participating in
dozens of films in as many positions.

2004 - Directed the short abstract film By Water, and Blood, and the
Spirit,
which has since shown at Mormon-themed film festivals in New York City,
Brussels, and Utah, placing in the Best of Festival program at the 2007
LDS Film Festival.

2002 - Wrote the screenplay for The
Best Crop: A History of Orchard Farming in Orem, Utah, 55
min., director April Chabries. This historical documentary aired on
regional PBS throughout the mountain west.
